What is actually health?

What is the meaning of good health?

Old English words for ‘health’ are just Hale, which means ‘wholeness’ or become whole, sound, or good.

A more modern definition created by the World Health Organization said that … “Health is a complete state of physical, mental and social welfare and not only lack of disease or weakness.”

Recently the definition delivered by WHO states that health is not: “The condition of complete physical, mental and social welfare: also not” only lack of disease or weakness. ”

To fully understand health and health definitions at our age today must introduce an era that embraces new understanding of disease at the molecular, individual and social levels. At present, most people recognize health can be divided into two broad aspects: physical health and mental health.

Physical health

Physical health or physical welfare means good healthy body health due to regular physical activity (sports), good nutrition, and adequate rest.

MENTAL HEALTH

Mental health includes one’s cognitive and emotional welfare. Someone who does not enjoy good mental health usually has a kind of mental disorder.

Again according to who, mental health is “the state of welfare where:

Individuals realize their own abilities;
can overcome the normal pressure of life;
Can work productively and useful; and
Able to contribute to their community. ”

Unfortunately, measuring mental health has become a very subjective judgment. It is often easier to know what mental illness, rather than mental health.

Most of us agree that mental health is again referring to “the absence of mental illness.” Unfortunately the measurements vary greatly from individuals to individuals.

In fact mental health includes:

the ability to enjoy life;
the ability to rise back from difficulties;
the ability to achieve balance or moderation;
The ability to flexible and adapt;
The ability to feel safe and safe; and
The ability to make the best of whatever you have.
